Folks, I apologize I haven't written any thing the last few weeks, lets just say it has been a difficult time.
I am not talking about the fact that Phoebe caught and ate a bird in our bedroom, or the fact that I lost the keys to my daughter's public storage unit. I am talking about plumbing.
So the other morning, I get up to find all the plumbing is backed up, and I can't get it plunged. We live in the country so we don't have a sewer system, we have a septic system. So there are 2 clean outs one is under our deck which is very difficult to get to. The other is by the septic tank. So I take a large wrench to try and open the clean out. Now, I have said before, I am not the sharpest tool in the shed. Our house is a 2 story house, and the clean out is about 6 feet below the bottom story, so you would think there would be a lot of pressure on that clean out. Well, I didn't think of that as I was loosening this large plug, that screws into a large 4 inch plastic pipe, that then is only a few feet from the septic tank. So as I get the wrench moving it suddenly loosens the plug quite quickly and suddenly there is a spray coming up between my hands. Before I realize what I have done, it is too late.
I am now, not the person you ever want to sit next to, anywhere, especially in a restaurant.
Ok, just to let you know, I did shower multiple times, before I did come back to work, and I just went ahead and burnt my clothes.
