Oct 26 - Nov 1

Okay, a while ago, I talked about how I thought Cooper was an ex-wife from a past life. Well, I think now I have proof. Last week, my wife and I celebrated our 28th anniversary, so I got her a nice card. Cooper appeared so upset that I got her a card and not him (or her) a card—that he jumped on my lap, put his face in mine, and sat there for three minutes, nose-to-nose. He gave me a look with his eyes that I have seen from my wife when I have forgotten to give her a card. Anyway, he (or she) has not treated me the same since.

I would like to do a remembrance for a long-time customer, Ed Castro.

Ed was a regular when I bought Walt's in 1981. I never really spoke to him until some lady called on the phone to ask if he was there. I said I was sorry, I didn't recognize the name. She said, "He is the guy who looks like Omar Sharif." I immediately knew who she was talking about and went and got him. Ed had a clothing store where he sold vintage clothing, and I was one of his regulars. Almost every shirt I wear, I got from him.

Ed, we will miss you.
