Ok, so we have gone the 10 days of quarantine for my wife and son, and then did 10 days in the middle of the other quarantine for my daughter, and I think we are clear. My wife still has a cough and a headache but otherwise seems ok. I tested myself about 8 different times and appear to have not contracted it, which seems odd. However, what I did do was probably worse. To be away from my wife for 10 days I slept in an old bed in my daughter’s bedroom (who is off to college). Well it was too soft of a mattress for my back and so I threw my back out and have already had 4 chiropractor appointments in this last week.
Remember Cooper the new puppy. Well puppies like to chew on things. So to sleep I have been sleeping on a heating pad. In the middle of the night the other night the heating pad stops working and that wakes me up. I look at the control to see why and I notice a white light coming from the head of the control. I am thinking, I have never noticed a white light there before. I suddenly realized I was seeing an arc of electricity because Cooper had chewed the cord bare and I was fortunate to not have gotten shocked. Maybe the shock would have cured my back. By the way, he has not been in our high graces lately and so now we call him Poopster.

Oh my, how life is so much fun.
Ok, so tonight is the first night I am allowed back in my wife’s bedroom. It use to be both of ours pre-covid. Now, it is hers alone. With only 2 days until complete normalcy, my daughter tested positive on Thursday, which means the quarantine continues. I test myself before I have to go into work and I am very careful not to talk to too many people, but I haven’t spent a normal day there in almost 2 weeks and it will be almost 3 before I treat it like a normal visit. Most of my employees appear to be quite happy I am not there. I find it very hard to believe that I have not gotten it. I slept in the same bed as my wife the night she started showing symptoms, and for 2 days I was the only one in the house that was negative. This means I will probably get it on my daughters 8th day.
By the way today is my wife’s 12th day and she is still sick. I would hate to think what would have happened if she had gotten it before the vaccine. We of course were scheduled the next day to get our boosters. Life is never boring.

Has anyone heard how long COVID will last in orange jelly?
Let me explain...
Ok, so on Thursday we were scheduled to get our Moderna boosters, however on Tuesday we learned someone on the school bus had tested positive. After almost 2 years we just didn’t worry about it. Wednesday morning my wife didn’t feel well, and again we were not too worried. Well by the end of the day we heard someone else was sick, so I ran down to Walgreens and got the home tests. Now I have done this about 20 times and have never seen a positive.
So I help my wife and it comes up positive. I scratch my head and then do my son. Again, it comes up positive. Ok, now I take it, and it comes up negative and so does my daughter. Ok, so I don’t believe any of this and run down and buy the limit of 4 (2 tests to a box), and I do my wife again and son again. They both come up positive. I run mine again and I am still negative. So far my wife is OK, but we have all heard so many crazy things about COVID, we just don’t know yet. The doctor did prescribe a form of steroids and it seems to have helped. Meanwhile my son has no symptoms.
Ok, so I found a spoon with what looked like orange jelly on it sitting on the counter, definitely not pineapple. Do I throw away my favorite jelly or wait for the acids to break down the DNA? Or do I just let him eat the whole thing? Life has so many questions.
I will keep everyone apprised of our situation.
Thank you

This dog has been in most of my nightmares lately, which is probably a good thing because that means I am getting some sleep. At about 3:00 in the morning I usually get up to use the bathroom, but I know as soon as I get up, he hears me and wants out of his pen. So, I walk very cautiously and just as I get to the bathroom door the whining starts. Now, I have to take him outside, but all he wants to do is play. Now the other dog is awake, and now that dog wants to go outside.
Meanwhile, my wife is pretending to be asleep, which upsets me because I am the one that usually pretends to be asleep. So by the time I get everyone back in the beds, I am wide awake, and I still never made it to the bathroom.
