When it comes to intelligence, it seems my wife and I are at the bottom of the curve. For years we felt that having animals and especially rabbits were a good experience for the kids. Learning the responsibility of raising anything would be a good learning experience, right? Soon after we built this monstrosity of a bunny hutch, the kids lost complete interest. After many years, I gave up and let the bunnies out to fend for themselves, and threw out the hutch.
Now with the kids home so much we thought some animals would be good for them, and of course, since I threw the old bunny hutch away, I built an even bigger one. Two weeks later the kids have to be constantly reminded to go out and check on their bunnies.
My wife and I are seriously thinking that if we just got a taxidermist, our problems might be solved once and for all.

I promised a friend of mine that I would stop writing about the kids, but that is so hard. This is my therapy, and with COVID, I have no other options. My boy cannot stop talking, and I mean he cannot stop talking. You can plead with him to no avail. We were at Kaiser today to get a blood test, and I kept asking him to stay quiet so we could hear our number being called, and again he doesn’t stop. He is also an expert on everything and will tell you about everything. Tonight I told him he was opinionated. He took that as a compliment. I have customers who complain to me their hearing aids don’t work, if they lived in my house they would realize how lucky they are.

As The COVID World Turns
This is a new world that requires lots of something, I just have no idea what it is. Two weeks ago one of our employees went home sick from Taylors. I was concerned and we limited our hours and allowed customers to only order online. He finally got tested 5 days later to find out he was positive 3 days after that, so we closed Taylors for the remainder of the two weeks from the time he went home sick. Meanwhile, my daughter’s best friend tested positive and we had my daughter get tested. She didn’t find out until well past the 2-week period that she was negative. So when I call to get all my employees and myself tested, Kaiser basically says your results won’t come back in time so we don’t recommend getting tested. So now of course I think I feel funny but have no real symptoms, then Tuesday night late I start running a very low fever. No other symptoms, so I run downstairs to sleep in the family room, naturally, my daughter is right above me talking on the phone until 1:00 in the morning. Next morning I wake up and feel just fine. Now, what do I do? So I stay home for the next 4 days, to complete the 2 weeks. Honestly, I have no idea what is the right thing to do because tomorrow I could pick up a contaminated piece of paper and get sick, and start the 2 weeks all over again...

A friend of mine recently told me I should say nice things about my darling children. So here is a nice story of my kids telling the truth.
As you know there is a shortage of change at the bank, so I remembered we had a big jar of change in the laundry room. I went to get it and found it missing. So I asked the kids and they all said they did not take it. Then my wife went to get out a large box of Oreos and we found that 10 out 12 packages were missing, and again they said they didn’t take them. Then I went to get the strawberry jelly and found it half gone with a spoon still in the jar. Again my children said they would never do such a thing. So isn’t this a nice story of true honesty. Of course, I would believe my darling, wonderful, honest children, wouldn’t you?. When I told my wife I believed the children, she suggested that I take that cognitive test.
