We are so lucky because we now have an excess of donkey dung.
This is a nutrient rich and fibrous agricultural resource coveted by gardeners. And we have plenty. So if you are interested, we can accommodate. Just let me know, I can bring the truck down and supply you with farmers heaven. You will need to bring your own bag. I would recommend plastic, not paper.
My wife and I are so lucky because our beautiful donkeys like to leave us this wonderful treasure all around our patio. So when we go out to relax and enjoy nature, we really get to be near nature.

So we got Benny and Jet all situated and they are good boys. They come to me when I go to visit them, and so far, they look like they can replace my lawnmower.
However, they poop a lot. And I mean a lot.
And of course Phoebe thinks these morsels are a delicacy. So now, before I take the dogs out, I have to go shovel sh*t. And I am thinking to myself, why do things never go as planned.
All dads out there, please have a nice Father's day, and hopefully, you don't have to shovel doo doo.

I once talked about getting a song stuck in my head, without knowing where it came from. Well now I have Elton John’s Benny and the Jets stuck up there. I am now ready to hire a psychologist, to see where these songs come from.
On another note...I have explained that I am not very bright, however, my wife, is very bright.
So now, I can’t explain what we have decided to embark on. Let me explain that we are in our seventies, and have finally become empty nesters, so why in the hell would we decide to get 2 mini donkeys. This means first of all that I have to rebuild the corral that I recently tore down. And I have to start buying timothy hay all over again. Not to mention I will be shoveling sh-t again, which by the way, I am very good at. Anyway, I will keep you informed.
Hey, (not hay) if anyone needs any compost, I will have a source for you.
These photos of them are at their present home in Plymouth. By the way their names are Jet and Benny.

So, my daughter is moving back to Sacramento and is going to move into our old family home, that I grew up in, behind Town and Country Village. But it is a lot of work getting the house ready and moving her stuff in.
She is coming back from Humboldt, to get a teaching credential, and of course we hope she stays around. It was last year at this time that we moved her 2 special needs siblings into their own places with room mates, and that has been a chore. The one thing I have learned from all of this is that I am OLD. My wife manages all the kids stuff while I manage the restaurants and it is apparent we are not in our 30's anymore.
Anyway, things are coming together so hopefully, we will live forever, so the older daughter doesn't have to go nuts like us.
