My wife and I got to get away up to Grass Valley for one night but I forgot to bring any brain cells so I have nothing to write.
Is it bad that I miss Cooper but not the darling lovely children?

I miss the old days. Back when you only had 3 channels on the Television and it was so easy to pick what you wanted to watch. Now you literally have a million things you can watch and it is so hard to choose. Back before computers and internet and cell phones, you didn’t have to txt your children to see if they will come down for dinner. Back then they wanted to come to dinner. You saw the news when it came on at 6:00 and 10:00 and there were so few news stations it was never biased, It was just news. I remember getting into my old Chevy truck and just put in gear and go. If you wanted to listen to the radio you just listened to AM back then, so you punched one of the 5 preselected stations and you were done. Get into my car and now and what you first see is a picture of your car from outer space, and then you have to remember how to make the computer work that makes it go. When you back out of the garage you have to decide what angle do you want your cameras set at. Then you get moving and if you decide to do anything you almost have to pull to the side of the road to figure things out. I tried to find a FM station and almost crashed my car. My car has Alexa, so I thought great. I push the Alexa button and ask it to find a radio station. “I am sorry I cannot perform functions while the car is moving.” Then what the f___ is it good for.

So last weekend I was out back, and when I came in the house I started to sneeze. I noticed something in my nasal passage, So I blew my nose a few times and it went away. About 4 hours later it came back, and this kept occurring over and over again. On Monday night I got a strange headache and so I called Kaiser to ask them about it. The doctor immediately said I had covid and I should do a test. Apparently, the new variant causes headaches. Well I am thinking, great. With that nasal swab I can get whatever is in my nose. I come up covid negative like I always do, but I think I have solved my sneezing problem. About 6 hours later the sneezing comes back and now it is worse. During covid no one wants to see anyone sneeze, so I have to be ready to hide at a seconds notice. Finally Friday morning it got so bad as I was getting ready to go to work, I just couldn’t stop sneezing. So, I kept blowing my nose in tissue paper. About the fifth time I look down at the tissue and there is this 1¼" foxtail (and yes, I did measure it). I thought, ha, at least it didn’t cost me the $900 it did for Cooper.
Folks after we hit 116 degrees didn’t the 109 day seem like nothing?

So my daughter and son–in-law came by today with the new baby. Of course the new baby gets all the attention. Everyone wants to hold the baby, everyone wants to dance with the baby and everyone loves the baby, except Cooper. Cooper is used to getting all the attention and today he isn’t. My wife is holding the baby and Cooper is jumping up over and over again. Why, I am not sure, I am not sure if he wants to be held himself or just wants to eat his new nemesis. I took him aside and tried to explain to him that the baby is only here for a short while andthat he soon will be the prize again, but he just didn’t seem to understand and literally started moaning. If he handles this so poorly, I can’t imagine what will happen when a female dog turns him down for his first date.
