Nov 29 - Dec 5

It is important to let your puppy know what is not important to you. See, puppies only destroy things that are important to you, therefore, it is important to take something unimportant to you and let him think it is important.  So, you grab a coat hanger and you tell the puppy that this coat hanger was your mother's and that it has been in the family forever, and it means everything to you. Consequently, you try not to ever show favoritism to anything that is important, because if he finds out it will be destroyed.

So the other day, my back was killing me and I was sitting down. At some point I took my glasses off and when I got up I realized I had taken them off but now couldn’t find them. By the way, these are my prescription glasses. I asked everyone at home to keep an eye out for them because I thought I had just misplaced them. Four days go by and I never found them, so I called Kaiser and order another pair at a cost of over $400. Within 2 hours of me ordering them, I go home and let Cooper outside to do his business. We are in the sideyard and he is playing around when all of a sudden he goes over to a pile of leaves and pulls out my glasses and brings them to me.

Nov 15 - 21

Ok, so we have gone the 10 days of quarantine for my wife and son, and then did 10 days in the middle of the other quarantine for my daughter, and I think we are clear. My wife still has a cough and a headache but otherwise seems ok. I tested myself about 8 different times and appear to have not contracted it, which seems odd. However, what I did do was probably worse. To be away from my wife for 10 days I slept in an old bed in my daughter’s bedroom (who is off to college). Well it was too soft of a mattress for my back and so I threw my back out and have already had 4 chiropractor appointments in this last week.

Remember Cooper the new puppy. Well puppies like to chew on things. So to sleep I have been sleeping on a heating pad. In the middle of the night the other night the heating pad stops working and that wakes me up. I look at the control to see why and I notice a white light coming from the head of the control. I am thinking, I have never noticed a white light there before. I suddenly realized I was seeing an arc of electricity because Cooper had chewed the cord bare and I was fortunate to not have gotten shocked. Maybe the shock would have cured my back. By the way, he has not been in our high graces lately and so now we call him Poopster.

Nov 8 - 14

Oh my, how life is so much fun.

Ok, so tonight is the first night I am allowed back in my wife’s bedroom. It use to be both of ours pre-covid. Now, it is hers alone. With only 2 days until complete normalcy, my daughter tested positive on Thursday, which means the quarantine continues. I test myself before I have to go into work and I am very careful not to talk to too many people, but I haven’t spent a normal day there in almost 2 weeks and it will be almost 3 before I treat it like a normal visit. Most of my employees appear to be quite happy I am not there. I find it very hard to believe that I have not gotten it. I slept in the same bed as my wife the night she started showing symptoms, and for 2 days I was the only one in the house that was negative. This means I will probably get it on my daughters 8th day.

By the way today is my wife’s 12th day and she is still sick. I would hate to think what would have happened if she had gotten it before the vaccine. We of course were scheduled the next day to get our boosters. Life is never boring.
